MAMAPALOOZA RECOGNIZED IN BEST OF WESTCHESTER 2009

Westchester Magazine, which publishes an annual list of standout locations and events in Westchester County, has marked a pair of Westchester County Parks’ own offerings as the best in Westchester, according to editors as well as readers.

Mamapalooza, chosen by the magazine’s editors as one of the best events in Westchester for families with children, has been recognized for its outstanding “display of girl power.” The magazine calls Mamapalooza a “dedicated, cool, and conscientious women-powered” program. Held each May at the Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla, the event is presented by Westchester County Parks and Mamapalooza Inc., a national organization that promotes mothers and women of all ages for social, cultural and economic benefit.
