Daisy Rock Girl Guitars Welcomes Sharmaine and Luvena Kwong to its Artist Roster

LOS ANGELES, CA – January 24, 2013
Daisy Rock Girl Guitars, the original girl guitar company, welcomes to its artist roster sisters Sharmaine and Luvena Kwong, a songwriting duo from Canada that creates a signature sound with mellow acoustic riffs and emotional lyrics.

Sharmaine and Luvena started making music together 15 years ago, when they were just little girls. With classical training in piano and dance that started in preschool, annual recitals and competitions sparked their interest in the performing arts. Both began playing guitar and started to write their own songs, showcasing their talents as a singing and songwriting team.

After performing at several local events in 2009, the sisters began to perform at bigger events such as the Port Coquitlam Winter Artisans Fair, Gleneagle Secondary School's Voices 2010, and Music for Malaria 2010. Their most recent performances include the Golden Spike Days Festival, Crossroads Hospice Music Showcase, Summerfest, and more. Their strong and growing fan base helped them win Country Music Television’s “Ultimate Fan Access” contest by securing the most votes for a video.

Additionally, the girls were selected to be part of the top 30 artists in the EMI Music Canada's “Get Mobile. Get Discovered” competition. They have also been featured in several magazines and newspapers, such as Sing Tao magazine, Vervegirl magazine, The Tri-City News newspaper, The Province newspaper, and more.

“Twins! What! And they sing alike and sound alike and are total music geniuses. We are so happy they are part of our family!  Welcome!” says Tish Ciravolo, President and Founder of Daisy Rock Girl Guitars.
