Daisy Rock Girl Guitars Welcomes Erin Smith to its Artist Roster

LOS ANGELES, CA – January 17, 2013
Daisy Rock Girl Guitars, the original girl guitar company, welcomes to its artist roster Erin Smith, a guitarist, songwriter, and surfer from Santa Barbara, California.

Erin was raised playing in the sand and surfing at her parents’ surf camp. After surfing all day, she would head over to her dance school to study tap, ballet, and jazz styles. From studying the arts at a young age, Erin picked up her dad’s guitar at age 16 and hasn’t put it down since. She began writing words to the chords she learned, telling stories of her life.

“Though I’m still very young, I feel like I have a lot of funny (and sad) stories to tell,” said Erin. “I hope you will read them with your ears.”

In addition to surfing, dance, and music, Erin spent much of her youth searching for new things to do. She explored race car driving, tennis, and other activities.

“Think of poppy and blissful and you will hear Erin – she loves stringing her words together and creating melodic bliss while singing about heroes who jump from space!  Did we say fun?!”  says Tish Ciravolo, President and Founder of Daisy Rock Girl Guitars.
